Celsius X VI II LEDIX – A $300k luxury mobile in steampunk style

I guess ‘Celsius X VI II LEDIX’ is quite a different name for a cell phone, at least for me, and most probably for you too. What attracts most, for an obvious reason, is its mechanical looks, which is also the main appeal of the design. However, the most appealing and surprising part is its price tag of $300k. It doesn’t stand anywhere near your blackberry in applications and functions, but still it will be in demand.

In nutshell, the phone is made from grade 5 titanium, weighs about 245 grams with ebony inserts. The operating system has nothing special to offer and phone lacks basic multi- media features like media player and web browser, but you can catch some snaps with 3.2 megapixel auto-zoom with flash and preview them on 2.2 inch OLED screen. The battery backup is about 3.5 hours (talk time). Don’t expect 3G facility.

This one is not for sale, but you can expect 28 limited editions in black PVD titanium with carbon fiber inserts. Other than this, what is noticeable is that special attention has been paid to the mechanical movement of watch for which 330 parts out of total 600 parts has been assigned this specific job.
