A Fire extinguishing Grenade concept by Brian Kang

Designer Brian Kang suggests a grenade concept, not for destruction, but for helping the fire fighters who risk their lives many times. But how can a grenade work as an extinguisher? The procedure to use it is just like an actual grenade – hold the grenade, remove the safety lock to release the pin, and throw towards the fire.

The designer explains it somewhat like this:

These could be thrown towards a concealed area under fire with a small entrance, and act immediately while a bigger entrance is made for fire fighters to enter. With heavier bottom, the expelling gas spins the extinguisher like a top, spreading the suppressant around it.

It will be great if concepts like this could be materialized, but unfortunately some concepts remain only concepts.
