The reason we didn’t use the Neurophone ever is because of high voltage that it used, which made it dangerous for routine use.

Watching a baby all night long to make sure it sleeps healthy, can cast a toll on new parents, but there isn’t an alternative. We’ll, Bill a father of two seem to have found a solution in the Baby Monitor. The audio based device that can be velcroed on the swaddled baby to keep track of its breathing movement, orientation and body temperature. Baby Monitor uses the Texas Instruments eZ430-Chronos eZ430 wristwatch (sans the band) along with an RF transmitter, an accelerometer, a temperature sensor and USB dongle to communicate with a computer.

DIY Lasso Shoes can be assembled in a jiffy with laces

These slippers that can be constructed by the user themselves give us a new interesting way of creating footwear. Idea and the final product designed is from French design graduate Gaspard Tine-Beres (Royal College of Art, London) who gives us as the users new way of putting together felt shoes in a jiffy using just shoelaces. Called as the Lasso Shoes, they are made from single piece of natural wool die cut from 5 mm sheets and as a buyer you’ll get them flat-packed after which you can assemble them with laces supplied in color of choice.

This indoor Mini Golf Course is entirely made from wood, as it appears to be. The fact that it’s not playable doesn’t matter at all in front of the skillful built and highly creative artistic design. The intention behind this superb job was an art exhibit at the Milan Design Week where it was to be showcased and I am sure it must have gained appreciation from anyone who looked at it.

Why these robots are playing Guitar Hero?

Robots are into everything. They are future nurses, nannies, doctors, football players and so on. I think someday human will invent one for chewing food for them. I found this list of eight robots that plays Guitar Hero for, don’t know, whose pleasure. The title says ‘kick ass robots’ and I agree – they will kick our ass one day. DIY Hot Rod based on a 1934 Ford Roadster

I know nothing about the maker and how did he do this, but only that this old roaders has got a new life. It looks fresh and shiny giving a vintage look. Other than this, what details are available are that it’s based on a 1934 Ford Roadster and 1934 Dodge headlights have been converted to halogen bulbs with high and low beam. The maker seems to be familiar with automotive engineering and his skill needs no proof as this beautiful piece of work stand before us. Enjoy the images.

DIY gaming chair by Don Sturrock

Don Sturrock’s computer gaming desk is the new inspiration for gaming freaks. He didn’t waste much time on materializing his idea. Using Kee Lite aluminum pipe fittings and pipe and parts from Sketchup Library of Simplified Building, he built a structure that can support the monitor, keyboard, mouse, and chair. The chair looks comfortable with an adjustable monitor holder and footrest. It might be lacking the luxurious shine, but the creativity is appreciable.
